search engine except you have to pay for each click
someone makes to get to your site.

To use them for free deposit the minimum required, then
only bid .01 on the keywords related to your site that
cost much more for top positions.

What this will do is list you in their massive database
but due to the fact your listing is so far down the
list, nobody will ever click through to your site. If
they do click on your ad, it will only costs you .01.

Submission to this directory is free and it is one of the best to be listed in. It is extremely important that you read their guidelines. All submissions are reviewed by an editor and the approval process can take weeks to months. Many web site owners have waited a long time before having their web site added. It is worth the wait.



Yahoo.com



Adding your web site to this very popular directory will cost $299 annually. Because of the price, you will want to think about this one. Experiences with Yahoo listings are on both sides of the aisle. The best thing to do is see where your web site will most likely be listed and evaluate the conditions for that section.



sbd.Bcentral.com



This is Microsoft’s business directory and it will be a solid listing for you. The current listing fee is $50, which includes the use of their web site tuning service. This service will evaluate your pages and let you know if the page is ready to submit or contains errors such as under-optimization and spam alerts. It can help you optimize your pages for the keyword phrases you are interested in.



SevenSeek.com



This directory has a great page rank and many back links. As will all directory submissions, pay attention to the guidelines. The fee for submission is $40. Seven Seek is a general directory so just about any web site will fit here.



GoGuides.org



Go Guides is another great directory to get your web site into. Their web site is crawled by all the bots daily, which is a great plus. Submission is $40 for this general directory.



Wowdirectory.com



Wow Directory is a large general themed directory. Web site submissions are free but approval can take some time. They offer an express submit for $20 that will ensure your web site is listed within 24 hours.



There are many more directories out there but these are some solid ones to get into first. In time, your web site will begin to appear in the major search engines. Most directories that charge for submission have adopted the policy started by Yahoo where the fee is for “review” only. It is absolutely vital that you read over all the guidelines to be certain that your web site will be accepted.



ARTICLES



A great way to generate traffic and back links to your web site is by writing articles. Here is the general process of how it works:


* You craft a great article.

* You submit that article to web sites geared towards web site owners needing content.

* Owners grab your article, which contains a link to your web site, and use it on their web site.


As you can see, the process is very simple. When other web site owners place your article on their web site, you will be generating incoming links all over the Internet with no work at all. Today is going to be about how to setup your ordering process, so visitors to your website can buy whatever product or service you are selling.

The most common way people sell digital (meaning ebooks, software, etc..) items from their sites, is to use a 3rd party merchant called Clickbank.

I like clickbank because of what they offer. You can completely make it automatic, and as soon as you sell ONE product, your item(s) are listed in their affiliate database. Why is this important? Well, what this does is give your product a lot of exposure! Having affiliates promoting your products are one of the BEST ways to make money. So that is, in itself, one of the best things about clickbank because numerous peope visit clickbank everyday to find products to promote and/or buy.

So, How do you use clickbank?

Well, it's actually really simple.

First thing you'll want to do is setup an account with them. There is a one-time fee of about $49.95 and then they will allow you to sell your items in their database.

This is pretty cheap because merchant accounts can have an upfront cost of up to $300 and a monthly fee of up to $150 per month or more. In my honest opinion, I say DON'T DO IT!

Alrighty, now... After you setup your account with clickbank, and login, you'll want to first get a feel of the backroom and see how it works and all that good stuff.

Then you'll want to set it up to get the ordering automatic... Because that's what it's all about!

1) Go to your account and you'll see a few "blank" bars that you can type in to.

What you want to do here is tell clickbank where they will send a customer after they have purchased your product. Why is this important? Well, because you'll get a lot of complaints if your customers don't get the product they ordered!

2) To the right of this bar, you'll see another with the price of $0.00

This is where you can price your product. You can price this whatever you like... However, you need to email clickbank (all info is in your user account) and tell them you'd like a "price limit increase" so you can sell your product for more than
$0.00

3) After the email is sent, and they get back to you, you're all set!

That's right, it really is that easy. You type in your download page, set the price, and their system works for you.

Why is this so darn great?

1) You get to sell your products online.
2) After one sale, your product gets exposure (hence, you'll get affiliates promoting your product)
3) Your ordering process will be completely automatic, leaving you with time to do other things that will keep you proactive with your business!

The definition of an autoresponder is simple... heck, the title defines itself. An autoresonder literally "responds automatically." You just need to set it to "go" and forget about it!


You write up an ecourse or any other type of follow-up information, copy and paste the messages into your autoresponder, set the days you want your prospects to receive them, and presto... It's on autopilot!

Here's some advice that you will definitely want to use once you get things set up with your website...


When you get customers, you will always want to stay in contact with them... Why? Well, it's rather simple... If a customer buys from you once, the chances of that same customer buying from you again is very likely. So, the best thing you could possibly do is to at least get their contact information!


You will certainly want to know their first and last name, and their email address so you can stay in touch with them. It's pretty easy to figure out why... do you want to know?


Well here you go... because later on down the road, when you have either another product you want them to know about (and sell to them), or you just joined a great affiliate program that has a great product they might be interested in buying (which you get comissions on) you'll be able to simply email ALL your customers (your list) with your offer.


So, what's the best way to get your customers name and email
address?


You know, I am glad you asked that!


The best way, is to have a contact form (your autoresponder should provide you with the code for this - Aweber does) that you place on your "customer capture page". After they pay you for their purchase, you'll send them to this page. Then they'll fill out the form, and then you send them to the download page where they can download the product they just purchased from you!


Now THAT is how it's supposed to be done my friends!
